Kanye West: 'Spike Jones Made Me A Hurt Child Instead Of An Outrageous A**hole'

Kanye West: 'Spike Jones Made Me A Hurt Child Instead Of An Outrageous A**hole'Kanye West has praised director Spike Jonze following the pair's recent collaboration on a short film.

We Were Once A Fairytale, which was directed by Jonze, saw West play himself drunk at a club.

Released in October, the well-received short concluded with the rapper plunging a knife into his stomach to release a demon.

Writing on his blog, West called Jonze a “genius” and acknowledged how the director had made him “look like a hurt child instead of an outrageous a**hole”.

“When everyone goes clean, go dirty,” West wrote.

“When everybody puts on the craziest outfits ever, put on your favourite old band of outsiders dinner jacket and pull a monster out of your soul.

“I wish I could say that monster was truly dead but I think he'll be back to life sitting on my shoulder when I get back in the studio.”

We Were Once A Fairytale was sound tracked by West's song 'See You In My Nightmares', which featured on his 2008 album '808s and Heartbreak'.

The movie can be downloaded from the iTunes music store.
