Noddy Holder says 'Merry Xmas Everybody' is his pension fund - every single year he's handed a big fat royalties cheque. Now that cheque looks set to be even fatter in 2009.

Yep, Universal Music are releasing a Slade album titled 'Merry Xmas Everybody – Slade Party Hits' on November 23 in the run up to the festive season.

Somewhat curiously, there are only three Christmas songs on the 20 track record which also features classics like 'C'mon Feel The Noize', 'Mama Weer All Crazee Now' and 'Skweeze Me Pleeze Me.'
