Keith Richards: There Was A Led Zeppelin Reunion?

February 28, 2008
Keith Richards: There Was A Led Zeppelin Reunion?Keith Richards has took a cheeky swipe at Led Zeppelin over their reunion gig last year.

When asked about the return of the band by Uncut the guitarist said he didn’t even realise they had.

He added that he thought ‘Stairway To Heaven’ wasn’t even that good a song, we wonder who’s ruffled his feathers?

In the same interview Richards also called Mick Jagger a “maniac” because of his need to feel in control.

He said: "Mick's a maniac. He can't get up in the morning without knowing immediately who he's going to call.

"Meanwhile, I just go 'Thank God I'm awake' and wait for three or four hours before I do anything.

“He is a power freak and there's nothing we can do about it. I don't want to do anything about it. Let him bitch about. It doesn't make any difference to what we do."

When asked about Jagger’s onstage presence Richards added: Excuse me while I laugh. He's a bit vain, let's put it like that.

"We want a vain bloke up there, don't we? Meanwhile, the band can go to work. Vanity will not carry a band. But a band can carry vanity."
