The Fall's Mark E Smith Slams Mumford & Sons

October 20, 2010
The Fall's Mark E Smith Slams Mumford & SonsThe Fall's Mark E Smith has hit out at Mumford & Sons after they both performed at a recent festival in Ireland.

Smith claimed the band upset him they were doing “terrible” warm-up vocals in a nearby dressing room at the Electric Picnic festival.

"I said, 'Shut them ****s up,' and they were still warming up, so I threw a bottle at them,” Smith told Australian magazine Brag.

“The band said, 'That's the Sons Of Mumford [sic] or something, they're Number Five in charts!'. I just thought they were a load of retarded Irish folk singers."
