"One Way Out"

Alone for days the sun seems like the only one to trust
She doesn't answer back and doesn't hold me like you must
But you've taken all my sunshine and I wont ask for more
And I just need to fall back and pick myself up off the floor
And what can I say but
I will follow all my dreams, I won't falter in between
And I will one day find my feet and there I'll wait until we meet
It's only fair, I owe it to myself
Holding on for sunrise to see what daybreak means
You've given more than needed to make me feel unwanted
The echoes of your ignorance a sweet return from order
The stories for the fire, a life full of desire
And what can I say but
I'm confused by all my thoughts, I'm controlled although I'm not
I have found a way to hide, but just this once I'll stay inside
It's only fair, I owe it to myself
The night I thought I told you all things I kept behind
But god you looked so beautiful and that just made me miserable
I'm searching for that something for that little piece of confidence
And all the while retaining not learning what is saying
And who do I trust but
I will follow all my dreams, I won't falter in between
I have found a way to hide, but just this once I'll stay inside
It's only fair, I owe this to someone else
I can see there's one way out but all I do is scream and shout
To myself I owe this now and through this song my thoughts pour out
